November 18th RE students will begin in service at 10:30. Dismissal from classrooms at 11:45. Please note that we will have a fire drill during RE time. Please see attachedfor drills/procedures and make sure to TURN ON YOUR WALKIE TALKIES on Sunday.

  • 12/2 Giving Tree carnival from 11:45-1:00 in Fellowship Hall
  • 12/2 Jaime birthday celebration lunch and LUM Jubilee toy shopping with youth group from 2-5pm. We need drivers/chaperones.

  • 1/20 Purdue women’s basketball game

  • We couldn’t get enough attendees for the November 29th Purdue women’s basketball game so we’re going to shoot for the January 20th game against Indiana. It’s a Sunday 2pm game. Please let me know by Sunday, 1/6 if you are interested so that I can order the tickets for our group. Tickets are just $5 a piece for groups of 20 or more and we only need one more person. Boiler Up!

  • We will be having a youth (6th-12thgraders) lock-in following the talent show on Saturday, November 10th. The youth will be putting on a pancake breakfast fundraiser the following morning. Youth should bring the following: snacks, sleeping bag/pillow, change of clothes, toothbrush/toothpaste.

  • This year, we are going to do Mystery Pals a little differently. You will randomly draw a Mystery Pal and be responsible for giving that person one gift/token/trinket/treasure per month. It can be as simple as a candy bar, a book, something homemade, a picture you’ve drawn, etc. Once your Mystery Pal has been assigned, you will be responsible for making sure their gift gets delivered at least once a month (November-May). We will have a reveal celebration near the end of May. You can be creative with how gifts are delivered and may have friends/family/DRE help with deliveries. Please let me know if you have questions. Remember, all responses (see attached) should be submitted to the DRE mailbox or emailed to dre@uuctc.orgby the 11/4 deadline.

Important Reminders and Upcoming Events:

  • The annual UUCTC Halloween party and haunted house will be on Saturday, October 27th at 5pm.Youth that want to set up the haunted house need to arrive by 1pm.Please bring a finger food to share.Help will be needed cleaning up following the party.Please contact Sherry Tripodi if you are interested in providing entertainment (music, games, face painting, crafts, etc.)
