OWL (Our Whole Lives) is a values-based curriculum that equips participants with accurate and age-appropriate information about the human body and helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality. Please see http://www.uua.org/re/owl/297213.shtml for more information about the 7th-9th grade OWL program, including workshop topics. UUCTC will be offering OWL for grades 7th-9th during the spring 2017 semester. All OWL facilitators are comprehensively trained through the UUA (Unitarian Universalist Association). In order for a child to participate in the program, parents must attend a mandatory orientation session. At the orientation session, the teaching team will introduce parents to the curriculum and the philosophy of the program. The orientation is scheduled for January 8th from 5:00-8:00pm. Registration deadline is January 2nd. See attached for more information.
