There will be a holiday brunch on January 1st in lieu of traditional service/RE class.

  • January 8th (students begin in service) followed by spirit circle in room 101/103 (RE volunteers needed)

  • January 8th– OWL orientation meeting for 7th-9th grade students and families from 5-8pm in room 102

OWL (Our Whole Lives) is a values-based curriculum that equips participants with accurate and age-appropriate information about the human body and helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality. Please see http://www.uua.org/re/owl/297213.shtml for more information about the 7th-9th grade OWL program, including workshop topics.

UUCTC will be offering OWL for grades 7th-9th during the spring 2017 semester.  All OWL facilitators are comprehensively trained through the UUA (Unitarian Universalist Association). In order for a child to participate in the program, parents must attend a mandatory orientation session.  At the orientation session, the teaching team will introduce parents to the curriculum and the philosophy of the program. The orientation is scheduled for January 8th from 5:00-8:00pm. Registration deadline is January 2nd.

Please join us for our holiday program, “A Holiday Carol,” based on Charles Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol.” Dress rehearsal will begin at 9:30 in the sanctuary. This event will be followed by a dessert auction in the fellowship hall.

This Sunday, RE will begin in room 101/103 at 10:30 for holiday program practice. Classes will dismiss at 11:45.
