Important Reminders and Upcoming Events:

  • Just a reminder that we are still collecting plastic bottle caps and lids for our recycling bench project. We still need about three-four more large bags and are hoping to collect enough by the spring.

Weekly Notes- January 14, 2018

We revisited our goals for strengthening ou(RE) community that we developed in August. Check out our ideas below and ways you can help support the RE program in achieving our goals.

Get to know each other

  • Mystery Pals- A reminder for all those mystery pals out there: Don’t forget to deliver letters on the following dates: 1/14, 1/21, 2/4, and 2/11.
  • Interview Project- We would love to have more participants in the interview project. If you are interested, stop by room 101/103 from 10:45-11:45 on any of the following dates: 1/14, 1/21/ 2/4 or contact Nicole for more information.

Have fun

  • We now have world religion tote bags available for check out. The next check out date is January 21st. These totes have fun family activities, stories, games, and resources on the following religions/practices: Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Baha’i, Buddhism, Unitarian Universalism, and Hinduism.

Support each other

  • The UUCTC is collecting items for the women’s shelter. Please see collection boxes for more details.
  • More information about February’s “Acts of Kindness” project coming soon.

Show up

  • RE volunteer training will be held on Sunday, January 21st at noon. This training is available for current volunteers and people interested in learning more about RE volunteer opportunities.
